Min 01/12/1931872 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building January 12th, 1931 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor J. N. Prothro, X R. 0. Harvey, X C. E. McCutchen, X Aldermen E. H. E ddleman, X J. M. Spoonts, X G. D. Fairtrace, City Manager W. E. McBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Dr. 0. T. Kimbrough presented a petition signed by 29 physicians and surgeons requesting that Dr. C. R. Hartwook be reap- pointed as a member of the Board of Managers of the Wichita General Hospital. After due consideration, the following motion was put in order: Moved by Alderman Prothro that Dr. C. R. Hartwook and Harvey Harris be reappointed as members of the Board of Managers of the Wichita General Hospital for the two year term beginning January lst, 1931, and ending December 31st, 1932. Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried. Moved by Alderman Prothro that the following resolution be adopted. Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Prothro, McCutchen, Spoonts, Harvey and Eddleman. Nays: None. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Board of Managers of Wichita Falls General Hospital are serving such institution without salary and as a patriotic duty to Wichita County and the City of Wichita Falls; and, whereas, the present Board has served such hospital faithfully, con- scientiously and efficiently; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas. 1. That this body extend to said Board its thanks for the efficient, honest, intelligent and economical manner in which it has administered the affairs of the Wichita Falls General Hospital. �tin 5 tj 2. That it does hereby express to said Hospital Board its entire confidence in its ability to honestly, conscientiously and efficiently manage such hospital in the future. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 12th day of January, A. D. 1931. Moved by Alderman Harvey that the application of J. H. Allison for a permit to erect a gasoline filling station on Lots 1 and 2, Block 38, Floral Heights Addition, being the corner of Tenth and Taylor Streets, be received, and the City Clerk be instructed to give notice by publica- tion of a public hearing to be held in the Council Chamber in the Memorial Auditorium at 7:30 P. TA. January 19th, 1931, for the purpose of hearing protests. motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. Moved by Alderman Harvey that the meeting be adjourned.
