Min 10/17/19321.232 ;� 0 3/ Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building October 17, 1932 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: ',falter Nelson, Jr., Mayor J. N. Prothro, X R. 0. Harvey, C. E. McCutchen, X. Aldermen J. M. Spoonts, X J. S. Bridwell, X V. R. Smitham, City Manager W. F. McBroom, City Clerk Thelbert 1.:artin, City Attorney The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The hearing wit reference to the application of ?'estern Bldg & Loan Co. for a permit to construct and operate a gasoline filling station at 512 Austin Street was called, and, after hearing no pro- tests, the following motion was put in order: lv4oved by Alderman Spoonts that the estern Bldg. & Loan Co. be granted a permit to erect and operate a gasoline filling station at 512 Austin Street. Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried. Loved by Alderman McCutchen that the City Treasurer be in- structed to transfer ;25,000.00 from the ater Fund to the General Fund. Yotion seconded by Alderman iiarvey and carried. 1..oved by Alderman Bridwell that the City Manager be author- ized to renew the contract with the Northern Texas Utilities Company for one year from September 15, 1932; said contract to provide for supplying gas for the fuel requirements of all municipal buildings at a rate of 170 per thousand cubic feet. Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that T. J. Smith, colored, be granted a license to operate a domino parlor in accordance with Ord- inance No. 496 at 106 Barwise. otion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried. 0 _� 2- IVoved by Alderman Spoonts that Melvin Barton be denied a permit to operate a domino parlor at 1012 Lake Street. Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried. Moved by Alderman Harvey that the C * ty Manager be_ authorized t permit the Scottish'Rite Choir, directed by . D. Parnell, to use the Auditorium without charge on Friday evening, October 28, 1932, for bene- fit of the Crippled Children's Orphans Home at Dallas. Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. Moved by Alderman Prothro that Pander Pevey be granted a license to operate a domino parlor at 616 Eighth Street in accordance with Ordinance No. 496. Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried. I;_oved by Alderman Bridwell that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
