Min 06/27/1932a Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building June 27, 1932 The Beard of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following memb er s present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor J. S. Bridwell, X C. E. McCutchen, X J. M. Spoonts, Z Aldermen R. 0. Harvey, X V. R. Smitham, City Manager W. E. McBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney The Minutes of the previous meeting were read aid approved. Moved by Alderman Bridwell that the application of the South- west Dairy Products Company for a permit to establish a mule barn at 809 Virginia Street be received and the City Clerk be instructed to give notice by publication of a public hearing to be held at 7:30 P.M. July 11, 1932, in the Council Chamber in the Memorial Auditorium for the purpose of hearing protests. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. ORDINANCE NO 1093 AN ORDINANCE MAKING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING MARCH 31, 1933, FROM THE GENERAL FUND, BEING $200.00 FOR JURY FEES AND FROM TEE STREET FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $363.26 TO COVER PANMENT ON GRADING CONTRACT DATED AUGUST 13, 1925, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that Ordinance No, 1093 be passed on its second reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried by the fol- lowing vote: Yeas: Aldermen McCutchen, Spoonts, Harvey, and Bridwell. Nays: None. ORDINANCE NO 1094 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 OF 0 RDI NANO E NO. 331, PASSED AND APPROVED THE 8TH DAY OF NOV111BER, A. D. 1920, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE FOR THE LICENSING AND REGULATING OF AUTOMOBILES POP HIRE AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF ANDDECLARING AN EMERGENCY," SO AS TO FURTHER DEFINE OFFENSES UNDER SAID ORDINANCE AND PROVIDE FOR THE REMEDIES AND PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Moved by Alderman Harvey that Ordinance No. 1094 be passed on its first reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried by the fol- lowing vote: Yeas: Aldermen Harvey, Bridwell, Spoonts, and McCutchen. Nays: None. ORDINANCE NO 1095 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDIN3 FOR THE SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY NOW OWNED OR CLAIMED BY THE CITY IN POSSESSION OF CITY OFFICIALS FOR MORE THAN SIXTY DAYS UNCLAIMED BY THE OWNERS OR ON WHICH FEES, CHARGES, OR PENALTIES HAVE NOT BEEN PAID. Moved by Alderman Spoonts that Ordinance No. 1095 be passed on its first reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried by the fol- lowing vote: Yeas: Aldermen Spoonts, Bridwell, McCutchen, and Harvey. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Spoonts and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned. READ AND APPROVED this the llth day of July 1932.
