Min 05/16/1932lZ)G9 1-068 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building May 16, 1932 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Yayor J. N. Prothro, Z R. 0. Harvey, j C. E. McCutchen, X Aldermen J. S. Bridwell, X V. R Smitham, City Manager W. E. McBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the following resolution, be adopted. Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen McCutchen, Bridwell, Prothro, and Harvey. Nays: None. RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS TO CONVEY TO THE PROPERTY OWNERS ADJACENT TO THE AILEY HERETO- FORE CLOSED BY ORDINANCE THROUQ3 BLOCK 84A OF THE HIGHLAND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS. WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen has by ordinance No. 757 closed, vacated, and abandoned the alley in Block 84 A of the High- land Addition of the City of Wichita Falls, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF AIDERb;EN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the L:ayor of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute to the property owners adjacent to the alley closed by Ordinance No. 757 adopted by The Board of Aldermen on the 17thday of May 1926, quit claim deeds conveying to said property owners all the right, title, and interest of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,. in and to the alley closed by said ordinance. SECTION 2. Said quit claim deeds shall be subject to right of way for public utility lines as set forth in Ordinance No. 757. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 16th day of May 1932. iOfi9 1 0 The public hearing with reference to the City entering into a contract with the Texas Electric Service Company for power and lights for a period of ten years from May 1, 1932, was called and, after hearing no protests, the following motion was rut in order: TIoved by Alderman Harvey that the hearing be closed. Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried. Moved by Alderman Harvey that the Mayor be authorized to execute contracts with the Texas Electric Service Company for furnishing power and lights to the City for a period of ten years from May 1, 1932. Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried. Moved by Aldennan Harvey that the City Treasurer be instructed to make the following transfer of funds to cover supplies and material furnished by the Street Department to other Departments for the six months period November 1, 1931, to April 30, 1932: Trasnfer Transfer From To General Fund 2,157.5 6 ,� Street Fund 4,055.34 Park Fund 1,155.5 5 -, Library Fund 13.98,-, Water Fund 728.25 ,.- $4 , 05 5.34 _ 4 05 5.34 Notion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried.
