The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
An ordinance fixing a minimum fare for taxi-
cabs was considered. Exhaustive argument against the passage of the
proposed amendment was presented by counsel representing the Ten Cent
Taxicab owners. Petitions bearing numerous signatures were presented
in an attempt to show the public's approval of 10V taxicabs. State-
ments and arguments supporting the proposed amendment were presented
by counsel for the Wichita Falls Traction Company and the Yellow Cab
Company. Definite action was postponed until a later date.
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the City Clerk be instructed
to advertise for bids for auditing the books and records of the City
of Wichita Falls and Wichita General Hospital for the fiscal year
ended March 31, 1932, in accordance with specifications presented
by the City Manager; said bids to be received until 7:30 P. M. April
25, 1932.
Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried.
Moved by Alderman Prothro that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried.
The Board of Aldeffien then adjourned.
