Min 03/07/19321044 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building March 7, 1932 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor R. 0. Harvey,, X J. N. Prothro, X J. S. Bridwell, 7 Aldermen C. E. McCutchen, X V. R. Smitham, City Manager IN. E. McBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. ORDINANCE NO 1088 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 241, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE OF FRUITS, BERRIES, VEGETABLES, AND OTHER SIMILAR PRODUCTS," PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 1ST DAY OF MARCH, A. D. 1917, SO THAT PLACES OF BTEINESS HANDLING FRUITS, BERRIES, VEGETABLES, AND OTHER SIMILAR PRODUCTS :BALL NOT BE RE- 4UIRED TO KEEP THEIR PLACES OF BUSINESS SCREENED OR USE ELECTRIC FANS IN LIEU THEREOF BETWEEN THE 1ST DAY OF NOVRMER AND THE 15TH DAY OF MARCH OF EACH AND EVERY YEAR, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Moved by Alderman McCutchen that Ordinance No. 1088 be passed on its first reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen McCutchen, Bridwell, Prothro, and Harvey. Nays: None. ORDINANCE NO 1089 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PLACING OF POSTERS, SIGNS OR OTHER ADVERTISIMENTS OF ANY NATURE UPON THE WALLS, DOORS, WIN- DOWS OR ANY PART OF ANY BUILDING INSIDE OR OUTSIDE WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WI-CHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WITHOUT FIRST PROCURING PERMISSION SO TO DO FROM THE OWNER OF SUCH BUILD- ING; PRESCRIBING A PENALTY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Moved by Alderman Prothro that Ordinance No. 1089 be passed on its first reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried by the fol- lowing vote: Yeas: Aldermen Prothro, Bridwell, Harvey, and McCutchen. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Bridwell that contract for ambulance service be awarded to the Merkle Undertaking Company for one year beginning March 3, 1932, and ending March 3, 1933, at a rate of $1.50 per call. Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro.and carried. Moved by Alderman Bridwell that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman McCutchen and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
