The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met
in regular session on the above date with the following members
present:
Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor
Raymond M. Myers, j
J. N. Prothro, )
J. S. Bridwell, ] Aldermen
Leon L. Deaton, X
V. R. Smitham, City Manager
W. E. McBroom, City Clerk
Thelbert Martin, City Attorney
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and
approved.
Moved by Alderman Myers that the Phillips Petroleum
Company be granted a permit to install three 12000 gasoline
storage tanks at 14th and Indiana Streets.
Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried.
Moved by Alderman Myers that the City Manager be
authorized to file applications with the Civil Works Administra-
tion of the Federal Government for construction of projects
described below:
(a) Drainage ditch around north side of Lake Wichita - estimated
total cost $352,900.00 - estimated cost to city $23,175.00.
(b) Canal from Call Field to County Farm - estimated total cost
$119,590.00 - estimated cost to City $22,245.00.
(c) Indiana Avenue storm sewer - estimated total cost $13,073.00 -
estimated cost to City $3,116.95.
Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried.
Moved by Alderman Bridwell that the Treasurer be in-
structed to transfer $40,000.00 from the 'dater Fund to the follow-
ing funds:
General Fund - $15,000.00
Street Fund - 25,000.00
Motion seconded by Aldermam Myers and carried.
Moved by Alderman Deaton that the meeting be recessed subject
to call of the Mayor.
Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried.
The Board cf Aldermen then recessed subject to call of the
Mayor.
