The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:
Leon L. Deaton,
Raymond M. Myers, Y
George D. Fox, X Aldermen
J. N. Prothro, Y
V. R. Smitham, City Manager
W. E. McBroom, City Clerk
Thelbert Martin, City Attorney
Moved by Alderman Fox that Alderman Myers be appointed
Mayor Protem to act during the absence from the City of Mayor
Walter Nelson, Jr.
Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried.
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman Deaton that the following applications
for Chauffeurs' permits be approved:
Elmer Lovorn, 1207 Sixth Street
Clyde D. Marsh, 2802 Holliday
Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried.
Moved by Alderman Prothro that by reason of the Public
Works program instituted by the Civil Works Administration of the
Federal Government in Wichita Falls for the benefit of the City, the
City Manager be authorized to buy from one to three truck for the
Street Department as needed.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fox and carried.
Moved by Alderman Fog that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
