The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met
in regular adjourned session at 9:00 o'clock A. M. on the above
dat with the following members present:
Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor
Raymond M. Myers, X
J. N. Prothro, X
Leon L. Deaton, X Aldermen
J. S. Bridwell, [
George D. Fox,
V. R. Smitham, City Manager
W. E. McBroom, City Clerk
Thelbert Martin,City Attorney
After a discussion among the Aldermen with reference to
rates being requested of the Texas Electric Service Company, the
following motion was put in order:
Moved by Alderman Bridwell that the Mayor call in the
officials of the Texas Electric Service Company and tell them that
the Council was ready to enter into negotiations hoping to come to
a definite rate reduction, and in the negotiations any questions
which they might ask from the engineering report of Montgomery &
Ward wou]d be analyzed from the report.
Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried by the
following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Bridwell, Deaton, Fox, and Prothro.
Naps: Alderman Myers.
After an all day discussion of rates with the officials
of the Texas Electric Service Company no definite conclusion having
been reached the following motion was put in order:
Moved by Alderman Bridwell that the meeting be adjourned
subject to call of the Mayor.
Motion seconded by Alderman Myers and carried.
The Board of Aldermen adjourned at 5:15 P. M.
