Min 05/15/19331014212 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building May 15, 1933 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor Leon L. Deaton, I George D. Fox, X J. S. Bridwell, X Aldermen J. N. Prothro, X Raymond M. Myers, X V. R. Smitham, City Manager W. E. MoBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Moved by Alderman Myers that J. V. Allred, Attorney General, be allowed to use the Auditorium without charge on Wednesday, May 17, for a discussion of the oil situation in the State. Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried. The public hearing on the appropriation ordinance for the year beginning April 1, 1933, and ending March 31, 1934, was called and after hearing the remarks of several interested citizens and a request from the Real Estate Board that the hearing be continued, the following motion was put in order: Moved by Alderman Prothro that the hearing be continued until 7:30 P. M. May 22. Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried. Moved by Alderman Bridwell that the request of the. Junior Chamber of Commerce for an ordinance requiring that property owners report fire insurance premiums paid to a city official for the purpose of increasing the "Good Fire Record" credit of the City be referred to the City Manager and City Attorney for study and recommendation. ORDINANCE NO 1126 AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT UNTIL THE FINAL ADOPTION OF A BUDGET AND PASSAGE OF A GENERAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE YEAR BEGINNING APRIL 1, 1933, AND ENDING MARCH 31, 1934, AND DECLARING AN ERERGENCY.
