Min 04/24/19331202 r1� Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building April 24, 1933 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular sgssion on the above date with the following members present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor George D. Fox, Z J. N. Prothro, X Raymond M. Myers, X Aldermen Leon L. Deaton, V. R. Smitham, City Manager W. E. McBro om, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney proved. The Minutes of the previous meetings were read and ap- Bids for ambulance service for the year ending April 25, 1934, were opened and considered. Moved by Alderman Deaton that the bid of Merkle Undertaking Company for ambulance service for one year from April 25, 1933, for consideration of 900 per trip be accepted. Motion seconded by Alderman Prothro and carried. Proposals for the annual audit of the city books and records and those of the Wichita General Hospital were opened and considered. The following bids were received: Allred, Lambert & Company, C.P.A., total cost $700.00 A. E. Myles, C.P.A., " 1,250.00 M. E. Wallace, C.P.A. , 669.00 Hutchinson & Hutchinson, C.P.A., " " 675.00 Bids for a city depository were opened and considered. Moved by Alderman Deaton that the First National Bank of Wichita Falls be named city depository for one year from May 3, 1933, upon their bid of 1% interest on daily balances. Nays: None. RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION CORRECTING THE DESCRIPTION OF A PART OF THE BO REFUNDED BY ORDINANCE N0. 1108, PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 5TH DAY OF OCTOBER, A. D. 1932. WHEREAS, A PART OF THE BONDS REFUNDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 11089 PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 5TH DAY OF OCTOBER, A. D. 1932, WERE DE- SCRIBED AS REFUNDING SERIES G, 5-21%, 'p'11,000, DATED MAY 1, 1924, DATE OF' MATURITY NOVEMBER 1, 1932, BONDS NUMBERS 107-111, INCLUSIVE; AND WHEREAS, THE CORRECT DESCRIPTION OF SAID BONDS IS REFUND- ING SERIES G, 51,%, $110,000, DATED MAY 1, 1924, D.^ "E OF MATURITY NOVEMBE 1, 1932, BOND NOS. 107-117, INCLUSIVE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF WICHITA FAILS, TEXAS: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1108, passed and approved on the 5th day of October, A.D., 1932, wherein a part of the bonds refunded by said Ordinance are described as Refunding Series G, 5�/, $11,000, dat May 1, 1924, date of maturity,November 1, 1932, Bonds Nos. 107-111, in- clusive, be and the same is hereby changed to hereafter read as Refund- ing Series G, 5-21%, 4�11,000, dated May 1, 1924, date of maturity November 1, 1932, Bond Nos. 107-117, inclusive. PASSED AND APPROVED this 24th day of April, % D. 1933. Moved by Alderman Myers that the City Treasurer be instructed to send to the State Comptroller in Austin, Texas, six Public Building Bonds, par value $6,000.00, owned by Street Improvement No. 1 Sinking Fund, which matured November 15, 1932, for exchange for a like amount Cr Refunding Series 5 Bonds due November 15, 1940-45, now on deposit in the State Comptroller's office. Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried. ORDINANCE NO 1124 AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT UNTIL THE FINAL ADOPTION OF A BUDGET AMID PASSAGE OF A GENERAL APPROPR TATION ORDINANCE FOR THE YEAR BEGIYMIG APRIL 1, 1933, AND ENDING MARCTi 31, 1934, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 1.204 Moved by Alderman Prothro that Ordinance No. 1124 be passed on its second reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Myers and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Prothro, Myers, Fox, and Deaton. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Myers that the Mayor be authorized to sign a contract in dunlicate with Montgomery & Ward, Engineers, for engineering services in connection with a survey of the present electrical lighting system and data for a municipal light and power lant; the consideration for such service being not to exceed 2,400.00. Motion seconded by Alderman Fox and carried. Moved by Alderman Prothro that the sale by the City Manager of the following animals 5 Babboons 1 Crown Crane 1 Bengal Tiger 1 Kangaroo 1 Hyena 1 Puma 1 Swan authorized by resolution adopted on April 3, 1933, for the sum of $70.00 be approved; said sale having been held at the Municipal Zoo at 4:00 P.P.R. April 24, 1933. Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried. Moved by Alderma n Myers that M. E. Wallace, Certified Public Accountant, be awarded the contract for annual city audit of the books and records of the City of Wichita Falls and Wichita General 370 3 Hospital for the year ending March 31, 1933 on his bid of $669.00. Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried. Moved by Alderman Myers that the meeting be adjourned subject to call of the Mayor. Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried. the Mayor.
