The Board of Aldermen then adjourned subject to call of READ AND APPROVED this 24th day of April, 1933. ATTEST: Mayor City Clerk Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building April 18, 1933 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular called session at 10:30 A. M. on the above date with the following members present: Walter Nelson, Jr., Mayor Leon L. Deaton, X George D. Fox, X J. N. Prothro, X Aldermen Raymond M. Myers, X V. R. Smitham, City Manager W. E. McBroom, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, City Attorney It was stated that the purpose of the meeting was to have a statement from representatives of the electric company with refer- ence to further reduction in light and power rates. The Council immediately went into executive session. The Council then went out of executive session. Moved by Alderman Myers that the proposal of Montgomery & Ward, local engineers, for engineering services in connection with a survey of the present local light and power system and the collection of data for a proposed municipal light and power plant be accepted on condition that the cost of such survey and report will not exceed $2, 400.00. Motion seconded by Alderman Fox aryl carried. Moved by Alderman Fox that Aldermen Bridwell, Prothro, and Myers be appointed as a committee from the Council to confer with officials of the Texas Electric Service Company with reference to a further reduction in light and power rates. Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried. Moved by Alderman Myers that the meeting be adjourned subject to call of the Mayor. Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried.
