The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met
In regular session on the above date with the following members
present:

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and ap-
proved.
Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the application of B.
F. Stewart representing the Fundamentalist Baptist Church for a
permit to erect a church building at the corner of Avenue C and
Bell Street be received and the City Clerk be instructed to give
notice by publication of a public hearing to be held at 7:30 P.M.
in the Memorial Auditorium April 17, 1933, for the purpose of
hearing protests.

Moved by Alderman McCutchen that a permit to Mrs. David-
son for a dance hall in the 1400 block on Seventh Street be denied.
Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried.

Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the engineering pro-
posals for preliminary plans for a municipal light and power plant
be received and filed for future consideration.
Motion seconded by Alderman Protho and carried.

Moved by Alderman McCutchen that the following resolution be
adopted.
Motion seconded by Alderman Harvey and carried by the follow-
ing vote:
Yeas: Aldermen McCutchen, Harvey, Spoonts, and Prothro.
Nays: None.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, held at the regular meeting place in the
Memorial Auditorium Building in said city, on the loth day of April,
1933, at which a quorum was present, came on to be considered the re-
turns of the city election held on April 4, 1933, for the purpose of
electing three Aldermen for the City of Wichita Falls, and
WHEREAS, after canvassing the returns of said election, it
was found that it was duly and legally held in all respects, and that
there were cast at said election 616 votes, and that

I Raymond M. Myers received 528 votes

For Alderman Position No. 2:
Leon L. Deaton received 532 votes
W. B. Corlett " 84 TM
For Alderman Position No. 3:
George D. Fox received 532 votes
W. S. Curlee TM 83 TM
And it appearing that Raymond M. Myers received the greatest
number of votes cast at said election for Alderman Position No. One (1),
that Leon L. Deaton received the greatest number of votes cast at said
election for Alderman Position Number Two (2), and that George D. Fox
received the greatest number of votes cast at said election for Alderman
Position Number Three (3).
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, that Raymond M. Myers, Leon L. Deaton, and
George D. Fox were duly and legally elected Aldermen of the City of
Wichita Falls, at said election and that said election was in all respects
legally held in accordance with the ]�ws of the State of Texas and the
Charter and Ordinances of said City.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the loth day of April, 1933.
The Oath of Office was administered to Raymond M. Myers, Leon
L. Deaton, and George D. Fox by the Mayor and they took the places at
the Council Table vacated by C. E. McCutbhen, J. M.Spoonts, and P. 0.
Harvey.
ORDINANCE NO 1122
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6 OF ORDINANCE NO. 372, AS
AMENDED BY ORDINANCE N0. 541, PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 22ND DAY OF
SEPTEMBER, A. D., 1924, SO AS TO REQUIRE THE PAYMENT OF A LICENSE FEE
OF TWO ($2.00) DOLLARS PER VEHICLE AND ABOLISHING THE PROVISIONS OF SAID
ORDINANCE REQUIRING A BOND.

ORDINANCE NO 1123
AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF
THE CITY GOVERNMENT UNTIL THE FINAL ADOPTION OF A BUDGET AND PASSAGE
OF A GENERAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE YEAR BEGINNING APRIL 1,
1933, AND ENDING MARCH 31, 1934, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Moved by Alderman Prothro that Ordinance No. 1123 be
passed on its first reading.
