The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls; met in
regular session on the above date with the following members present:

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and epproved.
Moved by Alderman Myers that the City kanager be instructed
to refer the matter of the Marcus show to be shown in the Memorial
Auditorium on January 19 to the Board of Censors to determine whether
or not it complies with that section of Ordinance No. 394 which reads
as follows:
"Whenever dramatic or vaudeville performances or other representations,
plays or performances of any character for admission to which a fee is
charged, or anything of value received is given in connection with any
theatre of the City of a;ichita Falls, the same shall be subject to the
supervision of the Censor herein provided for, and no performance shall
be given which is calculated to corrupt the morals of youth or which
is vulgar or indecent or demoralizing, or which is calculated to dis-
turb the good order and peace of the public by exciting racial pre-
judices or otherwise create an unreasonable disturbance of the peace.
That whenever any performance is condemned by the Censor, it shall
be the duty of the keeper, owner, or person in charge thereof, to
immediately stop the performance and discontinue its exhibition."
Motion seconded by Alderman Bridwell and carried.
Moved by Alderman Myers that this Board confirm the ap-
pointment by the Mayor of the following citizens as members of the
Board of Censors authorized by Ordinance No. 394:

Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried.
Moved by Alderman Myers that, this Board conf irm the action of
the Mayor in appointing the following Board of Appeals as provided by
Ordinance No. 394:
Mrs. C. Joline, Chairman
J. C. Hunt
Mrs. B. L. Fain
Firs. R. 0. Harvey
Mrs. Abe Marcus
Mrs. Bernard Martin
The president of the Ministerial Alliance to serve as a member e$
officio.
Motion seconded by Alderman Deaton and carried.
The following citizens were appointed to investigate the
feasibility of applying to the Federal Public Works Administration for
funds to construct a recreational center:

Moved by Alderman Myers that the meeting be recessed:.
