RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR THE CITY'S
ESTIMATED ANNUAL REQUIREMENT OF AUTOMOTIVE FILTERS
AND CANISTERS TO MAKENA SALES COMPANY, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $63,985.94; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the City's
estimated annual requirement of automotive filters and canisters; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on September 10, 2003;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase automotive filters and canisters
for the City's fleet maintenance during the next twelve-month period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is hereby granted to award the bid for the City's
estimated annual requirement of automotive filters and canisters to Makena Sales
Company in the amount of $63,985.94.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
