RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, REJECTING THE BIDS FOR THE CITY'S INSURANCE
COVERAGES, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls opened bids on August 22, 2003 for the
request for proposals for property, casualty and certain liability coverages; and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder significantly exceeds the staff's estimate for
this premium amount; and
WHEREAS, the City staff recommends that the bid be rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The bid for the City's Request for Proposals for property, casualty
and certain liability coverages is hereby rejected.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
