Res 068-2003 6/17/2003RESOLUTION NO. 1p"�O3 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 4318 VIEWPARK, ALSO KNOWN AS THE WEST ONE- HALF OF LOT 10, BLOCK L, CITY VIEW HEIGHTS, WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS, UNDER THE TERMS OF THE CITY'S IN - FILL HOUSING PROGRAM FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW HOUSING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE DEED TO TRANSFER TITLE; AND FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 272.001 of the TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE, the City of Wichita Falls may convey property, without the solicitation of bids, under the terms of its In -Fill Housing Program authorized by Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act; and, WHEREAS, a low -to -moderate income family desires to construct a new home on under-utilized property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a special warranty deed to convey title on the following property located in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas to a family qualified for the In -Fill Housing Program: The West one-half of Lot 10, Block L, City View Heights, a/k/a 4318 Viewpark. SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
