RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO AWARD BID AND CONTRACT FOR THE
ELEVATOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT AND CHANGE ORDER NO. 1;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the execution of
the Elevator Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest, responsible bidder is ThyssenKrupp
Elevator, Inc. who made a lump sum bid with an estimated total of $83,677.00; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is proposed for acceptance, which reflects a
revised and reduced cost, at the original scope, plus Additive Alternative No. 2, for an
adjusted contract price of $70,587.00 (deduct of $13,090.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Said unit price bid of ThyssenKrupp Elevator, Inc., as amended by
Change Order No. 1, with a revised total of $70,587.00 is hereby accepted, and the City
Manager is authorized to execute a contract for the City with said Contractor for the
construction of such project.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
