Ordinance appropriating $1,225,460 in Federal Coronavirus Aid,
Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Funds for Airport
Operators and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary
funding agreements related hereto
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls received notification from the Federal Aviation
Administration and Texas Department of Transportation for Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and
Economic Security Act funding in the amount of $1,225,460-1 and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to budget these grant funds for the operation and capital
improvements of Wichita Falls Regional and Kickapoo Downtown Airports; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to accept Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic
Security Act Funds from the Federal Aviation Administration and Texas Department of
Transportation, with changes thereto in a form approved by the City Attorney.
