Ord 16-2020 Rezone 2515 & 2651 Central Freeway from HI to LI 4/7/2020Ordinance No. 16-2020 Ordinance rezoning approximately +/- 14.72 acres of land located at 2515 Central Freeway East (12.04 Acres of Block 16, Cherokee County School Lands); 2651 Central Freeway East (Garner Addition, Lot 1, Block 1) and abutting right-of-way from Heavy Industrial (HI) to Light Industrial (LI); and amending the Land Use Plan from Industrial to Light Industrial WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed zoning change at its March 11, 2020 meeting, and voted to recommend approval of this request; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this request and has determined the herein described Zoning amendment is in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: 1. 12.04 Acres of Block 16, Cherokee County School Lands (2515 Central Freeway East — +/- 11.66 acres); Lot 1, Block 1, Garner Addition (2651 Central Freeway East — +/- 2.86 acres and abutting Quincy Road Right -of -Way (+/- 0.2 acres), as depicted on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "1", are hereby rezoned from Heavy Industrial (HI) to Light Industrial (LI). 2. The area on the Land Use Map, as depicted on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "2", is hereby amended to change the area from Low -Density Residential and Light Commercial to Commercial.
