Resolution No. 15-2020
Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Memorandum of
Understanding with the Red River Authority of Texas for the
Construction of a new Potable Water Main
WHEREAS, the Red River Authority of Texas (RRA) has been a wholesale water
customer of the City of Wichita Falls since 1979; and,
WHEREAS, the RRA desires to convert from a raw water customer to a potable
water customer and install infrastructure required for this conversion; and,
WHEREAS, a portion of this new infrastructure will lie within the city limits of the
City of Wichita Falls and benefit to the overall water distribution system of the City of
Wichita Falls; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to upsize a portion of this
infrastructure in order to improve the reliability and operational functionality of its own
water distribution system; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the RRA desire to commemorate an
related to the above
considerations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with
the Red River Authority of Texas for the Construction of a new Potable Water Main.
