Resolution allowing the trustee property located at 1908 6 Street to
be sold to Base Camp Lindsey for $5,000 which is less than the total
amount of the judgment against said property as authorized by
Section 34.05(i) of the Texas Tax Code and authorizing execution of
the Quitclaim deed to convey title to Base Camp Lindsey
WHEREAS, from time to time, the City of Wichita Falls, along with the Wichita Falls
Independent School District and Wichita County, recovers judgments in suits filed in the
District Courts of Wichita County, Texas, for delinquent taxes, penalties, and interest and
the foreclosure of the tax lien on properties located in the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita
County, Texas; the City Council, desires to reduce the inventory of real property acquired
from delinquent tax suits; and,
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners and the WFISD School Board have both
voted to accept the written offer request of $5,000.00 as presented; and,
WHEREAS, it is determined to be in the best interest of the public to return this
property to private ownership and reduce the maintenance responsibilities of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:

The trustee property located at 1908 6 Street may be sold for less than the total
amount of the judgment against said property as authorized by Section 34.05(i) of the
Texas Tax Code, with such sale to be as described in the attached Request to Purchase,
and the City Manager is authorized to execute the deed to such property in such form as
is approved by the City Attorney.
