Resolution No. 128-2019
Resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for and accept a
Federal Transit Administration Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of
Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Grant in an amount up to
$200,000 from the Texas Department of Transportation
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has identified the need for improved
transportation options for seniors and individuals with disabilities; and,
WHEREAS, funding for this service may be available through the Federal Transit
Administration under the Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities
Section 5310 program administered through the Texas Department of Transportation;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is an identified recipient to receive Section
5310 funding to assist those eligible seniors and individuals with disabilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for and accept a Federal Transit
Administration Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Section
5310 grant from the Texas Department of Transportation, in an amount up to $200,000
per year, to assist those eligible local citizens.
