Ordinance No. 62-2019
Ordinance appropriating $1,572,875 in Federal Funds and $438,349 in
State Funds for the FY 2019 Section 5307 Transit System and $354,241
in State Section 5339 Funds and Authorizing the City Manager to
execute all necessary funding agreements related hereto
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls received notification from the Federal Transit
Administration and Texas Department of Transportation for federal FY 2019 funding in
the amount of $2,365,465; and,
WHEREAS, the FY 2019 budget for the Wichita Falls Transit System includes
$2,365,465, of federal and state funding for operations and capital improvement projects
of the Wichita Falls Transit System; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to budget these grant funds for the operation and capital
improvements of the Wichita Falls Transit System; and,
WHEREAS, the resulting General Fund, Fare Box Revenue and other support for
the local subsidy required for operating the Wichita Falls Transit System for the 2019
federal fiscal year is anticipated to be $655,005.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to accept FY 2019 Federal Transit Administration
and Texas Department of Transportation funding, with changes thereto in a form
approved by the City Attorney.
