Item 1 - Call to Order
The City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas met in special session on the above
with the following members present.

Mayor Santellana called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.

Item 3 Ordinance 59-2019
8:33 a.m.
Consider and adopt an ordinance by the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
canvassing returns and declaring results of the Venue Project Election; and containing
provisions necessary and incidental thereto.
Moved by Councilor Browning to adopt an ordinance by the City Council of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, canvassing the returns and declaring result of the Venue Project
Election; and containing provisions necessary and incidental thereto.
Motion seconded by Councilor Brewer.
Proposition A - Authorizing the City of Wichita Falls, Texas to renovate,
maintain, and improve the existing Multi-Purpose Events Center consisting
of the Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall, the Kay Yeager Coliseum and the J.S.
Bridwell Agricultural Center (the Venue Project) as a venue project
of the type described and defined in, and authorized by, Chapter 334, Texas
Local Government Code, and to approve a two percent (2%) increase in the
hotel occupancy tax imposed by the City as authorized by Section
334.254(a), Texas Local Government Code, to provide a payment source
for revenue bonds or other obligations issued by the City to finance the
MPEC Venue Project.
