1. CALL TO ORDER:
John Fritzsch called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from May 23,2019 were put before the Board for approval, Macy
Brown Marsden made the motion to approve the minutes and Sandy Fleming
seconded the motion.
3. DEPARTMENTAL REPORT:
A. PARKS: Terry Points
• Mowing is finally getting caught up
• Lake Arrowhead parks are mowed for the upcoming 4t" of July
• Sanitation will be putting dumpster at Lake Arrowhead Park
• Khaki weed is in bloom, park crew will be spraying for those
• Detailing around MPEC for 41" of July festival
• Parks are having trouble with people stealing flowers out of the beds
around town.
B. RECREATION: Scott McGee
• 50+Zone putting on an episode of HEE HAW tonight.
• Indoor Soccer at MPEC in the evenings,
• Youth Regional Track meet will be held July 13 at City View School
Track, 600 to 700 kids will be competing to qualifying for state meet.
• 2 Session left for Summer Camp Program one is 100% full other is
80%
• Indoor soccer leagues coming to an end. July 9-12 will be playoffs
4. Other Business, Announcements, Comments
• Loop 11 to Lucy trail bids submitted, 6 contractor put in for project.
• River still up, Lake Kemp is letting water out.
• Special guest: Jocobie Genus presenting an offer to update
basketball court at Spudder Park Pavilion.
• Park Board will have to make a recommendation on the proposal
cost and floor plan, before this takes place.
• Park Board move to take a 2-month recess, and resume in
September next meeting set for September 26, 2019
