Resolution No. 110-2019
Resolution authorizing the City Manager to make application to State
Farm Good Neighbor Citizenship Company Grants, FY 2020, in the
amount of $20,000.00
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has been notified that it is eligible to apply for
a non-matching grant, from State Farm, Good Neighbor Citizenship Company Grants;
and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls City Council finds it in the best interest of the citizens
of Wichita Falls, that the Good Neighbor Citizenship Company Grants be operated for FY
2020; and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls City Council agrees that in the event of loss or
misuse of the Good Neighbor Citizenship Company Grants, the Wichita Falls City Council
assures that the funds will be returned to State Farm in full; and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls City Council designates Darron Leiker, City
Manager
to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for funding from State Farm, Good
Neighbor Citizenship Company Grants, for the FY 2020, in the amount of $20,000.00.
