Resolution No.89-2019
Resolution ratifying the property tax increase in the fiscal year 2020
operating budget
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 102.007(c) of the Texas Local Government Code,
the adoption of a budget that will require raising more revenue from property taxes than
in the previous year requires a separate vote of the governing body to ratify the increased
property tax revenues reflected in the budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The City ratifies, authorizes and approves the property tax increase in
the Fiscal Year 2020 Operating Budget.
2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute all
documents necessary to complete this transaction.
3. All resolutions and agreements and parts of resolutions and agreements
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
4. It is hereby found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public and that advance public
notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting was given as
required by law.
