The minutes for the April meeting were tabled and will be considered at the next
meeting.
Tom Lang announced that Stewart Harvey has been hired as Executive Director of the
Lake Wichita Chapter of Friends of Reservoirs. He will oversee all aspects of the Lake
Wichita revitalization project, including fundraising, project management, and public
relations. Stewart is a native Wichitan who has worked in the non-profit arena in WF for
the past 8 years.

Penny summarized the information from a pre -meeting she attended with City Staff:
The City has received the 90% Boardwalk plans from Kimley Horn Associates (KHA)
and needs comments back by Thursday. Tom and Ford will visit prospective donors to
raise the approximately $1 million required for the Boardwalk project. Once funds are in
hand, the City will advertise the construction contract for bids, with a late July target for
• award.

Penny talked to Steve recently, and some new purchases have been made. Tom

replica bricks. Penny stated the Committee previously approved ordering the replicas
ahead of the actual bricks, even though that incurs a small upcharge. Tom said he will
call Steve • get that moving.

Fundraising efforts are underway, but the focus right now is on the Boardwalk and Boat
