1. Call to Order
Penny Miller called the meeting to order and declared a quorum.
2. Selection of Chairperson and Introduction of New Members
David Coleman was nominated and voted unanimously as Secretary. Penny Miller was
nominated and voted unanimously as permanent Chairperson.
3. Approval of Minutes
The minutes for the February and March meetings were approved unanimously. Penny
stated that she would follow up with Vicky Payne regarding a possible Gantt
Crowdsourcina Grant.
Steve Garner stated that this meeting would be his last as a member of the LWR
Committee, after six years it was time for him to move on. Everyone expressed their

7. Discussion of Subcommittee Structure and Reports
Penny stated the Ecosystem Subcommittee has met, and is working on getting
organized. The Master Naturalists are planning on putting in flowers in the Fall, but
need to pick a location.
8. Discussion of Brick Sales Campaign
Steve stated that $400 in Bricks have been sold since his last report.
9. Discussion of Fundraising Initiatives: No discussion
10. Other Business Matters
Steve stated that April 16t' is the unveiling of the Veteran's Statue, at 6 Canyon Bluff
Court. This is apparently a "By invitation only" event, aimed at potential donors.
Tom mentioned that the Historical Marker is now in place at the top of the dam, near the
existing informational sign. He would like to see a dedication ceremony mid -May. Jim
stated that will be up to the Committee, that City Staff is already very busy.
Tom stated that the job vacancy is now posted, for the Executive Director, Lake Wichita
Chapter of Friends of Reservoirs. Closing date is April 19t'. This position will be paid
from the fundraising.

The meeting adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
