Resolution determining range of discipline, if any, against Councilor
Steve Jackson, for alleged violations of Council Code of Ethics.
WHEREAS, an ethics complaint was filed against Councilor Steve Jackson on July
31, 2019, for allegedly violating 2-146 of the Code of Ordinances; and,
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has conducted a full and complete investigation into
the matter and tendered to the City Council his written report; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council held a hearing, heard evidence, and considered the
complaint and the report; and,
WHEREAS, the accused official was given the opportunity to present evidence, call
witnesses, and defend and explain himself in this hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
After holding a hearing regarding ethics complaint 2019-01, the City Council hereby
takes the following action:
Public censure. The city council may choose to publicly censure the offending
member through a resolution and entered into the public record.
