Resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for non-matching
Grant Funds from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance
Grant Program in the amount of $29,444.00 with co-applicant, Wichita
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has been notified that it is eligible for
$29,444.00 from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the City Manager to submit an
application to obtain any available funds from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice
Assistance Grant Program; and,
WHEREAS, these funds will be shared by the Wichita Falls Police Department
($16,194.203,249.80), co-applicant for such
grant; and,
WHEREAS, the use of these funds are planned to be used to assist in the purchase
of light kits & camera equipment for the Criminal Investigation Section, optics for the
Special Operations Section, and helmets, shields, & tourniquets for the Patrol Section.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply as a co-applicant from the Edward
Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program for funds in the amount of $29,444.00.
