Res 020-2012 3/20/2012 RESOLUTION NO. _20-2012__ Resolution Authorizing The Purchase Of a Heavy Duty Service Truck Through The Buy Board Purchasing Cooperative From Grande Truck Center In The Amount Of $93,762.00 WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Local Government Code §252.022 exempts items purchased through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the State’s competitive bidding requirements as follows: This chapter does not apply to expenditure for. . . (12) personal property sold:. . under an interlocal contract for cooperative purchasing administered by a regional planning commission established under Chapter 391. WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a resolution approving the participation in such cooperative agreements, and finds that this acquisition is personal property sold under an interlocal contract for cooperative purchasing administered by a regional planning commission; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that purchasing a new heavy duty service truck with crane through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative from Grande Truck Center is in the best interest of the City of Wichita Falls. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase one Heavy Duty Service Truck through the Buy Board Purchasing Cooperative from Grande Truck Center in the amount of $93,762.00.
