RESOLUTION NO. _17-2012_
Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Apply For A State Of
Good Repair Initiative Grant From The Federal Transit Administration
To Purchase Two 35-Foot, Low-Floor Transit Buses
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has identified the need for the replacement
of two of its transit buses; and
WHEREAS, partial funding for this project may be available through the Federal
Transit Administration under the State of Good Repair Initiative grant program, in an
amount of up to $624,360, or 80% of the total project cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for a State of Good Repair
Initiative grant from the Federal Transit Administration for the purchase of two 35-foot,
low-floor transit buses.
