Res 064-2019 Transfer Trustee Properties to Habitat for Humanity 7/16/2019
Resolution No. 64-2019
Resolution authorizing the transfer of ownership of Trustee properties
at 703 Fort Worth Street and 1303 Burnett Street to Habitat for
Humanity for the construction of low-to-moderate income housing
and authorizing the City Manager to execute the deed
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter § 272.001(g) of the TEXAS LOCAL
GOVERNMENT CODE, the City of Wichita Falls may convey property without the
solicitation of bids to non-profit entities for economic development programs authorized
by Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act; and,
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners and the WFISD School Board have both
voted to accept the written offer requests as presented; and,
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls desires to continue to construct
homes in the Wichita Falls community for the benefit of qualified low-to-moderate income
families.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:

may be conveyed as authorized by Chapter § 272.001(g) of the TEXAS LOCAL
