Resolution No. 47-2019
Resolution authorizing the Wichita Falls Public Transportation
Division to provide free transportation to local youth utilizing the
various Wichita Falls Public Library summer reading programs
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Public Library offers various summer programs for
local youths; and,
WHEREAS, affordable transportation is an obstacle for many local youths to
access Wichita Falls Public Library summer programs; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the Wichita Falls Public Transportation
Division will allow eligible local youths free public transportation to and from the Library
from May 28, 2019 to August 23, 2019 to participate in various summer reading programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Wichita Falls Public Transportation Division is allowed to waive FallsRide bus
fares to eligible students traveling to and from the Wichita Falls Public Library to
participate in various summer reading programs from May 28, 2019 to August 23, 2019.
