1. CALL TO ORDER:
John Fritzsch called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from December 13, 2018 were put before the Board for approval.
Jessica Traw made the motion to approve the minutes and Charlie Zamastil
seconded the motion.
3. DEPARTMENTAL REPORT:
A. PARKS: Terry Points
• Reconstruction will begin March 4, 2019 on Sheppard Air Force Base
front gate with help from city and Sheppard military affair
community, city council, the 4A board, and the members of the
community,
• Construction on Fishing cleaning station shelter at Lake Wichita has
starts on Monday March V.
• Work Service crew are starting to help on 18 parks mowing, cleaning.
• Human Resources is working with Express Personnel 10 people will
start with parks, could bring on full time.
• Regular maintenance is taking place in the parks.
B. RECREATION: Scott McGee
• Spring & Summer Softball, Kickball & Volleyball registration going
on now. Season to start late March.
• Traffic tracked down wiring issue to lights in back of Library, they
are now working.
• Fishing Rodeo was reschedule, due to weather, now on March 9tn
• March Movie Madness will be going on the18th thru 21" in during
WFISD spring break.
• April 6tn recreation will be hosting our Annual Easter Egg Hunt at
Lucy Park at 3:00 pm.
• Recreation has started hiring part time summer help for Lucy pool &
summer camps,
• North Texas Senior Games registration March 18- May 10. Games
held May 16-19, 2019
• Indoor Soccer League registration will begin March 13.
• Red River Rumble Youth Wrestling Tour was at MPEC February 16,
2019, approximately 210 kids attended.
4. Other Business, Announcements, Comments
• Trail along BNSF easement Seymour Hwy to Barnett Rd construction
starting possibly in July.
• Loop 11 to Lucy Park next project with help from 4B board and
matching funds from the city.
• Lake Wichita shoreline trail placed third on list, drawing are not
completed.
• Texoma Youth Sports Express Run will be held Saturday morning
March 2, 2019
• Bike Friendly Action Committee is hosting "Ride & Seek" at Lake
Wichita scheduled for March 9, 2019.
