Penny Miller called the meeting to order. Members, staff and guests introduced
themselves.

11. Approval of Minutes
The minutes for the December meeting were tabled to allow committee members to
have time to review them.
Ill. Presentation
John Fielder and Katelyn Grass of Kimley Horn presented concepts for the various
projects to the committee and interested guests in order to solicit feedback they can
incorporate into the finished plans. There were many comments and suggestions.
IV. Discussion of Fundraising
There is no update on brick sales. Tom Lang will contact the brick manufacturer to go
ahead with the replica bricks.
Kathie Fore h and-Chaddick said she needs to prepare a quarterly grant report. Vikesh
Desai will assist with information.
V. Discussion of Committee Matters
Steve Garner contacted Larry Scoff. He indicated he could not continue on the
committee with the current schedule, Jim Dockery will pursue a replacement.
VI. Other Discussion
Tom Lang reported the fish cleaning station was delivered today. Terry Points reported
Pat Hoffman is working with the landowners to finalize installation.
Tom Lang reported the Friends of Reservoirs chapter is looking to hire a part-time
executive director.
Steve Garner stated that he has been involved with this project for six years. There is a
lot of behind -the -scenes work in between the public pushes. The three shoreline
projects discussed in this meeting are the next public push. The Lake Wichita
Revitalization project is a marathon project and will take several years to finish. He
thanked everyone for their efforts on the current projects, especially the DAR and DAV.
Eve Montgomery stated she is excited about the project. The city needs this.
The Historical Commission asked for a speaker —Pete Gill will speak to the group.
Tom Lang reported the first water injection dredge is being done in Kansas. It is
possible the Corps of Engineers could test this at Lake Wichita. He will call our regional
office to discuss the possibility.
