Resolution authorizing award of bid for the purchase of ten (10) 2019
Chevrolet Tahoe 4-Wheel Drive Police Patrol Vehicles from the low
bidder Four Stars Auto Ranch, in the amount of $368,930.00; or to the
local bidder Herb Easley Motors Inc., in the amount of $372,013.50
WHEREAS, the City advertised and requested bids for the purchase of ten (10)
2019 Chevrolet Tahoe 4-Wheel Drive Police Patrol Vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the bid from the low bidder, Four Stars Auto
Ranch, in the amount of $368,930.00; and the local bidder Herb Easley Motors Inc., in
the amount of $372,013.50, and find both acceptable; and,
WHEREAS,
Local Government
that is within five percent of the lowest bid price received to the bidder whose principal place of business is
in the municipality if the governing body of the municipality determines, in writing, that the local bidder offers
the municipality the best combination of contract price and additional economic development opportunities
for the municipality created by the contract award, including the employment of residents of the municipality
and increased tax .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff are authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase:
Ten 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe 4-wheel drive Police Patrol Vehicles from the
local bidder Herb Easley Motors Inc., in the amount of $372,013.50.
