1. CALL TO ORDER.
A. John Fritzsch called the meeting to order at 1:37 p.m.
2. MINUTES.
A. The minutes from October 27, 2018 were put before the Board for approval.
Stephen Garner made the motion to approve the minutes and Jim Heiman
seconded the motion.
3. DEPARTMENTAL REPORT:
A. PARKS: Terry Points
• Bluff 1 Loop 11 up for final inspection. 19.98 miles of concrete was
laid.
• Parks has been working with Downtown Development and installed a
Christmas tree in Central Park downtown, made out of old plastic 7up
bottles.
• New Lucy Park sign installed on Sunset and Seymour Hwy.
• Historical sign on dam at Lake Wichita installed by floating dock.
• Fishing station at Lake Wichita setting up December 21, with
donations from Arconic.
• Parks dept. has been cleaning up vacant lots around town.
B. RECREATION: Scott McGee
• Rocking Christmas with Elvis was today at 50+Zone.
• Santa Mail box at MSU Fantasy of Lights mail back approximately
500 letters to children.
• Estimated 3,500 attended Halloween in the Park at Lucy Park.
• Fall Softball season canceled early due to rain, arranging discounts
for teams in the spring leagues.
• 3v3 and 7v7 indoor soccer tournament was held December 8 at
MPEC and Ray Clymer Bid.
• Raising Cane's Chicken helped sponsor recreation events this pass
fall with a donation of $3,500.00.
• Christmas in the Park at Scotland Park was held December 1st
approximately 300 participated in the candy cane scramble and 500
play game in the gym.
• Christmas Trolley Tours held December 6 & 13. Tonight last night.
4. PARK IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE:
• Loop 11 to Lucy Park next project with help from 4B board and
matching funds from the city.
• 2 grants for Railroad easement for Seymour to Barnett to Kell along
with matching funds from city in the works.
5. ADJOURNMENT.
