Resolution No.126-2018
Resolution authorizing the purchase of equipment to upgrade the
preemption communication from Paradigm Traffic Systems, Inc. in the
amount of $125,400
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls recently purchased a traffic signal
communication system; and,
WHEREAS, the new traffic signal communication system allows for emergency
vehicle preemption at signalized intersections within Wichita Falls; and,
WHEREAS, quicker and safer response times to emergencies are important to the
citizens of Wichita Falls; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Paradigm Traffic Systems, Inc. is offering
emergency vehicle preemption for Wichita Falls Fire Department equipment and a 10-
year connectivity plan
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City Staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase equipment
to provide emergency vehicle preemption for Wichita Falls Fire Department vehicles from
Paradigm Traffic Systems, Inc. in the amount of $125,400.
