Ordinance Authorizing The City Manager To Execute All Documents
Necessary To Apply For And Accept Up To $110,000.00 From The
Texas Department Of Transportation (TxDOT) For A Comprehensive
Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Grant For Fiscal Year
2013 And Appropriating Said Funds Into The Special Revenue Fund
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is eligible for a TxDOT STEP grant in the
amount of $110,000.00;
WHEREAS, the City will use in -kind contributions to meet the required 13% local
match of $14,300.00; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the grant is to focus on four of the Traffic Safety
STEP elements of Occupant Protection, Speed, Intersection Traffic Control, and
Driving While Intoxicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary to pursue,
apply for and accept the TxDOT's STEP grant for Fiscal Year 2013. There is hereby
appropriated into the Special Revenue Fund the sum of $110,000.00 from the Texas
Department of Transportation.
