Res 113-2018 Extending DDSC Term 10/16/2018 Resolution No.113-2018 Resolution to extend Downtown Development Steering Committee responsibilities for additional 12-month period ending October 1, 2019 WHEREAS, one of the strategic goals of the City Council is to redevelop the and, WHEREAS, to achieve this goal, the City Council established a Downtown Development Steering Committee to study the issues, prioritize the strategies and tasks, and implement programs to improve the downtown area; and, WHEREAS, the Downtown Development Steering Committee is an advisory committee that has reviewed various issues related to downtown redevelopment and provided recommendations thereon as accepted by City Council; and, WHEREAS, upon the acceptance of Downtown Development Steering Committee recommendations, City Council directed staff to begin implementation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The Downtown Development Steering Committee responsibilities should be extended an additional 12 months ending October 1, 2019.
