Resolution No. 111-2018
Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Lease
Agreement with the Boys & Girls Club of Wichita Falls for use of land
at Lake Wichita for youth programs offered to the community
WHEREAS, in 1973, the City granted permission to the Boys & Girls Club of
Wichita Falls to construct a football-soccer complex on land owned by the City in Lake
Wichita Park (formerly Jaycee Park); and,
WHEREAS, the City and the Boys & Girls Club agree that a lease agreement for
this complex that spells out the use and maintenance responsibilities of both parties is
warranted; and,
WHEREAS, the City and the Boys & Girls Club have agreed to terms as outlined
in the attached lease agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to enter into a Lease Agreement in a form
approved by the City Attorney, a draft copy of which is attached hereto, with the Boys &
Girls Club of Wichita Falls for use of land at Lake Wichita for youth programs offered
the community.
