Ordinance No. 50-2018
Ordinance Amending the Wichita Falls Thoroughfare Plan by
Removing the Proposed Allendale Road Extension (Major Collector)
from Southwest Parkway to Falcon Crest Boulevard; and Renaming
Remaining Extension as Falcon Crest Boulevard
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed and unanimously
recommended approval at its September 12, 2018 meeting of the proposed amendment
to the Thoroughfare Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this proposed amendment to the
Thoroughfare Plan and concurs that the herein described revision is in the public
interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Allendale Road Extension, a major collector street, as shown on the
incorporated in this ordinance
Thoroughfare Plan and as shown on the attached map
as
, is hereby amended by removing the proposed section slated for
extension from Southwest Parkway to Falcon Crest Boulevard.
2. The remaining portion of Allendale Road Extension, a major collector street,
from Falcon Crest Boulevard south to the future extension of Lake Shore Drive, as
incorporated in
shown on the Thoroughfare Plan and as shown on the attached map
, is hereby renamed to reflect Falcon Crest
Boulevard Extension.
