Ordinance No. 44-2018
Ordinance closing, abandoning, and vacating a 10 foot utility
easement located in Lot 1, Block 1, of the Tesco T & D Center out of
Abstract 425 and 302, aka 1121 Galveston St., Wichita County,
Wichita Falls, Texas, which consists of approximately 3,305 square
feet more or less as depicted and indicated on the attached Field
Notes and Plat
WHEREAS, ONCOR, property owner of 1121 Galveston St., Wichita County,
Wichita Falls, Texas, has requested to close, abandon, and vacate said utility easement
located at the North portion of their property; and,
WHEREAS, all affected City departments and utility companies have reviewed
this request and have recommended conditional approval to close, abandon, and
vacate this utility easement, subject to all utilities being relocated at the expense of the
property owner; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined to be in the best public interest to close,

abandon, and vacate said utility easement as herein indicated on the attached
Notes and Plat.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The utility easement located on the North portion of 1121 Galveston St., as
Field Notes and Plat
described above and as depicted in the attached and
consisting of approximately 3,305 square feet, is hereby closed, abandoned and
vacated, subject to any and all utilities being relocated at the expense of the
property owner.
2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
1. This will authorize the City Manager to execute an easement abandonment in
consideration of $660.00 for the cost of the easement and $300.00 for the cost
of the appraisal.
