Resolution No. 88-2018
Resolution authorizing the transfer of ownership at 816 Dallas Street,
707 Jalonick Street, and 713 Jalonick Street to Habitat for Humanity
for the construction of low to moderate income housing and
authorizing the City Manager to execute the deed
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter § 272.001(g) of the TEXAS LOCAL
GOVERNMENT CODE, the City of Wichita Falls may convey property without the
solicitation of bids to non-profit entities for economic development programs authorized
by Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act; and,
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls desires to continue to
construct homes in the Wichita Falls Community for the benefit of qualified low-to-
moderate income families.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the special warranty deed to
convey title on the following property located in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas to
Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls:
816 Dallas Street: Lot 10, Block 6, Kemp Addition
707 Jalonick Street: Lot 4, Block 5, Kemp Addition
713 Jalonick Street: Lot 7, Block 5, Kemp Addition
