Call to Order Mayor Santellana called the meeting to order at 3:31 p.m. 2. Approval of Minutes of Meetings of November 6, 2017 3:31 pm. Motion made by Mr. Ahern to approve the minutes of the November 6, 2017 meeting. Motion seconded by Brown and carried by the following vote: Ayes: Santellana, Brown, Ahern, Magana, Hatcher, Poenitzsch, Whiteley, Tate, Potter Nays: none DDSC Minutes of January 8, 2018 2 3.Committee Reports 3:32 p.m. Historic Preservation Pam Hughes said there had been no meetings held for a while. Delores Culley has been attending the other subcommittee reports to keep in touch with what they are doing. There are 8 or 9 members of this committee. Lifestyles Cody Magana said holding pattern until they get feedback from the consultants. He offered to help the other committees in determining the impact of their projects on lifestyles. There are 15 members of the committee. Regulatory Danny Ahern said they are also waiting for the meeting with the consultants. They plan to do site visits prior to the meeting. There are 12 members. Marketing Dusty Potter reported that an official downtown Wichita Falls Facebook page has been set up. They also have a unified downtown merchants marketing program that was presented to the downtown merchants. Downtown Development Inc. is working on this campaign through a co-op. Streetscapes: Scott Poenitzsch said in the last several weeks they have developed typologies and street elevation visions and presented those to the consultants. They look forward to the meeting next week. The traffic department has looked at traffic flow changes in the downtown area. The subcommittee will look at those proposals this week with recommendations to the committee in February. Finance e last committee meeting. The consultant recommended getting further along with the streetscapes design before the next financing steps are taken. They will not be meeting with Freese & Nichols at the January meeting. Upcoming Freese & Nichols Meeting on January 18, 2018 4. 3:40 p.m. Mayor Santellana reviewed the time schedule for the January 18, 2018 meeting with the consultants, Freese and Nichols. The regulatory subcommittee meeting will be first, followed by streetscapes. He said he is pleased with the progress to date. DDSC Minutes of January 8, 2018 3 5.Public Comments 3:41 p.m. Jim Dockery said there are a lot of 4B projects going on, including a grant for the Petroleum Building for housing, upscale for the Brown Building, improvements for a coffee shop and winery, and approval of the franchise agreement for the hotel/conference center, and general agreement for the hotel/conference center private financing. 6. Other Business 3:47 p.m. Dusty Potter said Downtown Wichita Falls Development Inc. has announced Jana Schmader will be the new executive director. She will be at the next meeting. 7.
