Ordinance Amending The Thoroughfare Plan By Reclassifying A
Portion Of Midwestern Parkway East From A Major Arterial To A
Minor Arterial.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has reviewed and
recommended approval of the proposed amendment to the Thoroughfare Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this proposed amendment to the
Thoroughfare Plan and concurs that the herein described revision is in the public
interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Midwestern Parkway East between Henry S. Grace Freeway and Hammon
Road, as shown on the Thoroughfare Plan and as shown on the attached maps
incorporated in this ordinance as Exhibit A, is hereby amended by changing the
functional classification from a major arterial to a minor arterial.
2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
