Ordinance Appropriating $182,000 To The Special Revenue Fund For
The Transforming Texas Grant And Authorizing The City Manager To
Execute A Contract And All Other Documents Necessary To Receive
Said Funds From The Texas Department Of State Health Services
(DSHS) For The Wichita Falls- Wichita County Health District
Pursuant To Said Grant
WHEREAS, the Health District has been offered revenue from the Department of
State Health Services for the creation of a Health Education Program;
WHEREAS, the Health District and DSHS desire to enter into a contract for
Health Education and Health Promotion; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2011 -2012 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Transforming Texas Grant Special Revenue
Fund $182,000 for the creation of a Health Education Program, and the City Manager
is authorized to execute a contract and all other documents necessary to receive said
funds from The Texas Department of State Health Services for the Wichita Falls -
Wichita County Health District pursuant to the Transforming Texas Grant.
